Dear IG Families:
I have some great news for you, for the 2023-2024 school year, teachers will not be sending home a back-to-school supply list. Using remaining state aid, the school district is going to purchase school supplies for our Ivan Green Lancers. Our teachers are identifying items that your student will need in the fall, and we will take care of the purchase. I do ask that you please save supplies from this year that can be used again, such as scissors, pencil boxes, etc.
Students will also need to provide a backpack and possibly a pencil box (if they would like one). We also invite families to provide headphones if they are concerned about hygiene. There will be headphones available as needed.
Our buy one get one free book fair is running next week. Don't miss out! Information is included below on how to set up an e-wallet.
This week we started a tiny bit of our summer construction! We have closed one of our staff bathrooms so that it can be renovated and expanded into two bathrooms for the start of school. As part of policy, there are asbestos warning signs at the perimeter of the project to warn folks of the possible danger if they were to enter the area unprotected. We have been assured that we are safe! Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about this.
