Weekly Video Update
Principal's Message
Hello Fuller Families!
As we head into another exciting week at Fuller Elementary, I wanted to share some important updates and reminders with you all.
We are thrilled to invite all of our wonderful grandparents to join us on Thursday, September 14th for Grandparents Day. This is a special opportunity for you to spend quality time with your grandchildren. You're welcome to come and enjoy lunch with your students. Please note that there won't be lunch options provided for adults during this event, but you are more than welcome to bring your own food to share with your grandchild. It's a heartwarming experience that our students and their grandparents cherish, so we hope to see many of you there.
Don't forget that our Scholastic Book Fair is in full swing from September 11th to 15th. It's a fantastic opportunity to foster a love of reading in your child. Encourage them to explore the wide variety of books available at the fair. Not only will you be helping your child discover new worlds through literature, but you'll also be supporting our school as proceeds from the book fair go directly to our library and classrooms. The book fair will also be open during Grandparents Day, so you can browse and make selections together with your grandchild.
Our Penny Wars competition is still underway, and it's been an exciting journey thus far. We encourage all students and families to participate in this friendly rivalry to see which class will be crowned the grand prize winner. Your spare change goes a long way in supporting our 5th grade students attending camp. Let's make this final week of Penny Wars count!
Mark your calendars for Chick-Fil-A Night on September 13th! It's a delicious way to support Fuller Elementary School. When you dine at Chick-Fil-A on this night and mention our school, a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to us. It's a win-win – a tasty meal for your family and a contribution to our school's success.
Our next PTO Meeting and WATCH DOGS Night will be held on September 18th. This is a valuable opportunity for parents to get involved in our school community. The Parent-Teacher Organization plays a crucial role in supporting various school activities, and WATCH DOGS is an excellent program that allows fathers and father figures to actively engage with our students. We encourage your participation and look forward to seeing you there.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. We value each and every one of you and are excited for the upcoming events and opportunities to connect with our Fuller Elementary family. If you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to reach out to our school office.
Wishing you all a fantastic week ahead and remember, We are Fuller, We are Family!

Dismissal Issue
When the cars park in the red marked areas, vehicles exiting the car line cannot exit safely without coming out in the street. So to prevent any accidents, I will be placing 6 cones in the area. I have suggested to parents who parked there, to pull up to the school zone sign and park there.
I have included a map of the location with "NO PARKING IN RED AREAS" on the map.
Important Information
- Anyone entering the building MUST be prepared to show ID BEFORE entering
- IDs or car tags will be checked at dismissal for car and walk ups.

Attendance
Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance.
A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.
In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
