From the Executive Director
Dear GLOBE families,
I would like to convey my gratitude for the way in which our wonderful community came together to make GLOBE Trot a success. It was wonderful to see students at both campuses having such a fun time. The funds raised will directly support them in so many ways.
Wishing you all a fun, relaxing and safe Thanksgiving break!
In community,
Christi Elliott-Earby
Executive Director
Parent/Family Town Hall this Thursday
We invite you to attend our parent/family strategic planning town hall on Thursday, at 8:30am, in the Upper Campus cafeteria.
At this week's town hall we will present an overview of the strategic planning process, and elicit additional feedback and rankings of items within three topics (UC Facilities, Communication, and DEIBA). This will help us dive deeper into the data and feedback we've already received.
As we design our strategic plan for 2024–29, we have been soliciting input from all current and former stakeholders, including parents, teachers, administrators, staff, students, and community members.
GLOBE Staff Gift Fund by PTCC
Winter break is around the corner and it is a GLOBE tradition to thank our teachers and staff for the effort and passion they put into the first semester of this school year. GLOBE's PTCC collects donations and distributes them to the entire staff just before the break.
Rather than room parents collecting funds to get a gift for their teachers, we encourage families to donate to the PTCC GLOBE Staff Gift Fund so that we can ensure all staff members are recognized and feel appreciated.
All money donated goes directly to our teachers and staff to thank them for all they do for our community. Please click here to donate and show our awesome staff how much we appreciate them. We ask that you give at a level that you're comfortable with personally. Whether it's more or less, it all goes to our rockstar staff and teachers. Please donate by December 6. Thank you. If you have any questions, please email the PTCC treasurer.
GLOBE Trot 2023 a huge success
With the incredible support of our GLOBE community, we reached 100% student fundraising participation and were able to surpass our financial goal to raise over $140k!
Thank you so much for all of your hard work fundraising and making this year's GLOBE Trot such a success. Congratulations to the prize winners. A list of the winners can be viewed here.
We would like to thank our generous sponsors who helped us to reach our goal. Special thanks to the GLOBE Trot 2023 Planning Committee, Adrienne McMillon, Meghann Adams, Jillian Barksdale, Kelly Chatfield, Lorena Borges Ferro, Daniela Torre Gibney, Victoria Hobbs, Akash Patel, Katie Patel, Holly Portier, Traci Sims and Kimberly Williams.
Deadline extended for Square 1 Art orders
The order deadline for Square 1 Art has been extended to November 17 (this Friday). Visit the Square 1 Art website to view and order your child's artwork.

The Upper Campus lost and found is in need of some organization. Sign-up here.
Lost and Found: Please label your items!
Parent volunteers return labeled items to the owner's classroom. If your items are not labeled, they may never make it back home. Please take a moment to find a labeling solution that will work for you. Here are some ideas to get you started: Avery No-Iron Kids Clothing Labels, Sharpie Fabric Marker, and Mabel's Labels (customizable labels and stamps, dishwasher and laundry safe. Enter "The GLOBE Academy" in the "support a fundraiser" field, and they'll donate 20% back to GLOBE!). And remember to check Lost and Found :)
Volunteer hours can help GLOBE receive grants
Did you know that when you volunteer, it can help GLOBE receive grants? Some donors want to know how involved the community is. We can show them that parents are invested in the school by sharing the volunteer hours we have tracked. So please remember to log your hours here. When you log your time, you'll also be entered in our drawing for a volunteer-of-the-month carpool flag. As a reminder, each family is requested to volunteer ten hours each year. To see current volunteer opportunities, click here. Thank you for volunteering at GLOBE.
Shopping can help GLOBE!
Did you know when you shop at places like Publix, Kroger, and OfficeMax/Office Depot, they will donate to GLOBE PTCC? To find out how to easily set this up, click here. Every penny counts!
