Hello 3rd Graders! Please look at each ELA Course below (in the chart) to help you prepare for the week of October 29-November 2

IMPORTANT-Literature and Comprehension Course Information!!

The OLS Literature and Comprehension Course does NOT mark Literature lessons over due or completed late. The daily/weekly plan does NOT allow me to set or change due dates. Please make sure you are following the lessons in the chart below. All students should be working in Unit 7 and reading in the K12 Weather or Not Magazine that was provided to you.

Chat Time!

Read the comic and respond to the challenge, "Give the little potato something to say!" Send me your response in an email to attend a free chat party on Wednesday, October 31.

The Chat Party will be set-up on Tuesday at 12:00. If you'd like to attend the party, please respond before Tuesday at 12:00. The party will be during lunch on Wednesday at 12:00.

Your Class Connect may change this week so please pay careful attention to your Daily/Weekly Plan.

We will begin our first nonfiction unit by looking at the importance of text features. Do you know what a text feature is? Test your knowledge with a Kahoot this week. Students will continue to present their novel projects.

This week's TGA will be for you to research an exotic or interesting fish and classify by type. (jawless, cartilaginous, and bony) Send a short paragraph about the fish to me by email or file share by 11/2. More info and time to research in CC!

3rd Grade Social Studies with Mrs. Lipscomb

Hello 3rd graders, this week we will continue with unit 3 Communities Are Everywhere. Please complete these 2 lessons:

lesson 3: Bodies of Water and Climate
lesson 4: Human-made Features

During class on Friday, November 2nd we will be working through lesson 4 together. We will look at examples of human-made features and places and talk about their purpose. If you have visited a famous man-made feature, for example, the golden gate bridge, empire state building, Eiffel tower, etc., and would like to share a photo with the class please email it to me by Thursday.

Happy Friday!!! I know yall have been busy working hard in your lessons all week.

Health/PE Update:

To help with your school day, we will no longer have our Health and PE CC. This is a great time you can spend working on your OLS lessons and TGAs
