REGISTRATION FOR 21/22 SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW OPEN!!
PLEASE READ ABOUT REMOTING IN WHEN SICK
If in-person learning is selected, students must attend in-person unless there is an extenuating circumstance, which must be discussed with your child’s school for approval. Per approval, your child will be able to participate in remote learning.
If the extenuating circumstances are not approved by your child’s school, your child runs the risk of receiving an unexcused absence and will not be able to participate remotely.
PLEASE CALL YOUR CHILD INTO SCHOOL IF THEY ARE SICK OR THEY ARE USING REMOTE CODE!! If the office thinks the child is in person and they stay home with no call into school, this can become a safety concern. Leave a message on the office line or the Absence line. (630) 279-6160 ext. 2001 or email Kbeckwith@saltcreek48.org

Meal Train for The Lewicki Family
As you may remember from the No Frills Fun Run post, Mr. Lewicki's sister-in-law (Amy) is gravely battling cancer. Someone in the Elmhurst community kindly started a Meal Train for the Lewicki family. More information can be found here. Having dinner planned definitely takes some stress out of the equation for Mike, Amy and their daughter, Emma. If you can only send positive thoughts their way, that is definitely appreciated, too. However big or small you can help, your kind thoughts and gestures are greatly appreciated by the Lewicki family!!

FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE
Dear District Families,
Please make sure to complete the COVID self certification every morning before your child gets on the bus or arrives at school (if they are a drop-off).
It is imperative that we remain vigilant in protecting all students and staff that are attending in-person learning. If your child or anyone in the household is experiencing a COVID-like symptom, your child and any siblings, must remain at home and you should notify the school. The nurse will then provide you with next step instructions.
Thank you,
District 48 Nursing Staff
