"Pumpkin Palooza: Grade 4 Pumpkin Carving & Stroll Spectacular"
Pumpkin Day has been a long standing tradition for 4th graders at Dighton Elementary School!
We illuminated the special event by inviting the rest of the school to a pumpkin stroll where they were able to view our eliminated, carved pumpkins while listening to some fun, festive music! The fourth graders felt pride and so did their teachers!

Partnering with your child’s teacher
Partnering with your child’s teacher
Watch for scheduling information from your child’s teacher.
November 16, 2023 is early release day- Students are dismissed at 12:15pm
Meeting with your child’s teacher should help build strong parent-teacher partnerships. Partnerships are needed if you and your child’s teacher are to reach your common goal: helping your child get the best education.
Don’t be afraid to reach out to your child’s teacher—you are an important part of your child’s education.
Ask to see a sample of your child’s work or bring a sample with you.
Ask the teacher questions like:
• Is my child at the level where he/she should be at this point of the school year?
• What do you think is giving my child the most trouble? How can I help my child improve in this area?
• Where is my child excelling? How can I support this success?

Hello DES Families and Staff,
Attached please find your PTO flyers and newsletter for the month of November. Also, Santa's Secret Workshop is right around the corner, and we are looking for lots of volunteers. If you've ever helped out with this event in the past, you know how much fun it is! If you haven't, we'd love for you to join us this year. This is a big event that the students absolutely LOVE! And none of it would be possible without your help. So click on the following link for volunteer opportunities. And be sure to check back from time to time, as we may add some volunteers slots.
