Dear Waukazoo,
Today we kicked off the Fun Run at Waukazoo! We're so thankful for our PTA for organizing this important event to help raise funds for our school. Students at Waukazoo benefit from the funds raised all year long! Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help make the Waukazoo Fun Run a success. We'll be celebrating the Fun Run October 9-13 with Spirit Dress Up Days and Lunch Games! On Friday, October 13, we get to do the Fun Run, where students run around the school to raise money. With construction happening at our building this year, the route will look much different. Students will run around our back parking lot. The Physical Wellness classes tested out the route this week with their mile run and it went great! We also hope you'll attend the Homecoming Football Game on Friday, October 13.
For the month of October, our classes will be talking about the importance of KINDNESS. We hope you can join us at home with discussions about how your student can show kindness to others at school and at home.
As a reminder, please be conscious of what surrounds you during pick up and drop off at Waukazoo. Families are doing great at getting their students in the door on time in the morning and picking up in the afternoon! However, as we ease into a routine, it can be easy to forget what's important. Please make sure that you are always looking for pedestrians, bike riders, and other vehicles as they enter and exit our school property. To keep all of us safe, it takes all of us to be aware of our surroundings. I appreciate your diligence in working with us to ensure the safety of any person on our school grounds!
