NRSCA Fine Arts and Teaching Scholarships: Only one female and one male application per school will be accepted for the NRCSA Scholarships. Only one application per school will be accepted for the Gary Fisher Fine Arts Scholarship. Applications for all scholarships must be forwarded by the school district. Check your email for links to download the applications. Forward completed applications to me by January 27 so we have time to form a faculty committee to decide which applications are forwarded on to NRSCA by Feb. 3.
Nebraska Banker's Association (NBA) Scholarship: Must be studying business, finance, accounting, economics or another business-related area and planning to attend one of the three Nebraska state colleges or a privately funded college or university. Deadline: January 31, 2023.
Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation scholarship opened Nov. 1. Eligibility to apply includes being a resident of Nebraska, earning at least a 2.0 GPA in high school, being a first-time college student, and financial need with an EFC below $10,000. This renewable scholarship may be used at Nebraska public universities and four-year as well as two-year colleges. Application and details may be found at buffettscholarships.org. Deadline is February 1, 2023 at 5 PM.
York Chamber of Commerce scholarships: There are a total of 4 scholarships: York Chamber Ag Scholarship/York County Corn Growers Scholarship (this is the same application for both scholarships), York Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, and York Chamber Building & Trades Scholarship. National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) - Several of NAIFA's Local Affiliates across the state will be awarding a series of "Award of Excellence" scholarships of $1,000.
Candidates must:
1. be a graduate of an accredited high school within the membership boundaries of NAIFA-Nebraska
2. be interested in furthering their education, with preference given to candidates interested in courses of study such as education, business/management/finance, marketing/sales, or actuarial studies; and preference given to those who attend a Nebraska university, college, or community college.
3. have an above-average grade point average in high school;
4. demonstrate good character, leadership, and interest in furthering their education.
Candidates must not:
1. be the child of a National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) association.

Winsor Tucker Scholarship: To be eligible, students must be in the top 15% of their class AND have a 27 or higher on the ACT (Superscore is not allowed). See Mrs. Koehler for an application if you meet these requirements! Deadline for application is Feb 28.
Hirschfeld Family Scholarship: One $500 scholarship available to a graduating senior that is residing in York County at the time of their high school graduation, that was active in 4-H/FFA and pursuing an agricultural major. Deadline for application is Feb 28.
Blue Valley Community Action Partnership is offering $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to attend 2 and 4 year colleges. Applicants must fall at or below certain income guidelines. Application is attached below or you can access it at www.bvca.net. Deadline for application: March 1, 2023.
CNSGA (Central Nebraska Senior Golf Association) is offering a scholarship to students who have excelled at the game of golf. Check your email for an application form. Deadline: March 1.
Owen Klein Scholarship: applicants must be a 2023 Heartland graduate who plans to complete a degree at a two or four year institution and enter the field of healthcare or education. Deadline for application is March 3 at 3:00PM.
PEO Chapter A: 2 scholarships available for York County graduating senior girls. Deadline is March 6, 2023.
York Elks Lodge Scholarship: recipients will be judged on academics, activities and leadership, and financial need. Deadline: March 10, 2023.
Lincoln Community Foundation Scholarships: this Foundation administers more than 90 different scholarships - many of which are for students who live outside of Lincoln/Lancaster County. Almost $600,000 is awarded to 300 students. Check your email for directions on how to apply. Most deadlines are March 15.
Cornerstone Bank scholarship: To be eligible, students must be a Heartland senior planning to attend a post secondary institution. Interviews will be held with all applicants. Turn in completed applications to Mrs. Koehler. Deadline is March 15, 2023.
Nebraska Press Association Scholarship: must be planning to major in community-based journalism or agriculture communications. Deadline: March 17.
Better Business Bureau Student of Integrity Scholarship: Recognizes high school students who exemplify ethical behavior and personal integrity, and who demonstrate humility, courage, compassion and respect for their peers, teachers and community — values of the BBB. Deadline: March 24
Burke Scholarship: to be eligible, students must plan to attend a college or university in Nebraska and plan for a career in natural resources or related fields. Access the application here: https://www.upperbigblue.org/education/scholarships. Deadline: March 24.
Henderson Community Foundation Scholarship: one application makes you eligible for 3 scholarships. Deadline: April 1.
