Weekly Parent Update
January 10 - January 21
Greetings Ory Parents!
It is with a joyful heart that I wish you and your family luck and success this year. 2022 is sure to be a year of new ventures and accomplishments. As I reflect on the past year, I am truly proud of our faculty, staff, and scholars for their accomplishments despite the adversity brought by Hurricane Ida and COVID. Last year showed us how resilient we are individually and collectively as a school community. Let's continue this momentum of working together to support our scholars.
I want to take this opportunity to revisit our collective agreement as per the student contract. These expectations are in place to support the academic success of our scholars:
ATTENDANCE
- We are aware of the challenges COVID has presented with scholars attending school.; however all scholars are expected to attend school to the fullest extent possible and be on time.
- Scholars are expected to attend school unless they are sick or there is a family emergency.
- Scholars are expected to complete all classwork and homework
BEHAVIOR
- Scholars are expected to adhere to all school and district policies.
- Scholars shall respect all faculty and staff.
We appreciate your support and understanding during these unprecedented times as we try to provide our scholars with a "normal" school day. If your scholar is not feeling well, please be sure to follow the updated COVID GUIDELINES before allowing your scholar to return to school. For more information, please contact Nurse Beth at 985-651-3700.
