Reading
Happy New Year! We will be kicking off 2020 with a book by Gary Paulsen, “Harris and Me.” The narrator of this story has to adjust to being part of a new family as well as the demands of living and working on a farm. Unfortunately for the narrator, his tour guide through this transition is a very impulsive 9 year old cousin named Harris who lacks a filter and common sense! They experience many mishaps while learning the important lesson of making good choices, and the importance of friendship. We will be listening to the story on Audible as well as reading independently. Students will continue to plug away on comprehension questions and vocabulary on their google doc. We will have a few quizzes throughout the unit as well as a test when the book is completed. If absent, please see me for a book so you don’t fall behind.
