  • The final GonzoFest Louisville, celebrating all things Hunter S. Thompson, will be held July 14-15.
  • The Booker Prize longlist, aka the "Booker Dozen," of 12 or 13 books will be announced on August 1, 2023.
  • The Mythopoeic Society's awards for best adult and children's fantasy literature will be announced during their Online Midsummer Seminar on August 5-6.

The Homeland Security Digital Library (HSDL) is the nation’s premier collection of documents related to homeland security policy, strategy, and organizational management. The HSDL is part of the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s National Preparedness Directorate, FEMA. The HSDL database holds over 250,000 resources. These items cover a wide range of homeland security topics and are carefully selected and evaluated by the HSDL team. Sources include, but are not limited to: federal, state and local governments; international governments and institutions; nonprofit organizations and private sector entities; think tanks, research centers, and colleges and universities. Examples of items available include: U.S. Policy and Strategy Documents related to homeland security such as General U.S. Policy Documents, National Strategies, Executive Orders and Presidential Directives, and Key Legislation; Congressional Hearings and Legislation; CRS Reports & Issue Briefs; GAO Reports & Testimony; Theses & Research Reports from U.S. federal academic institutions, particularly the Naval Postgraduate School. The HSDL team also curates "In Focus" items that are highly relevant to current events such as COVID-19, artificial intelligence, border security, disaster economics, human trafficking, and school and workplace violence.
