WWCA Female Senior Wrestler of the Year

Let's hear it for Kylie Rule who has received another prestigious accolade! She has been named the Female Senior Wrestler of the Year by the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association. Congrats, Kylie, and thanks for all you've done (and continue to do) for the sport! Awards will be presented during the George Martin Hall of Fame and WWCA Awards Banquet on Friday, November 3 at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay. Read more: https://www.wwca.org/

New Head Girls Basketball Coach

Mineral Point is proud to announce Nick Jelle as our next #PointerNation Head Girls Basketball Coach!

Nick is a familiar face on the bench, having been an Assistant/JV Coach for the Boys Basketball program since the fall of 2016.

Nick will replace Mike Keyes, who took over the girls program in 2019. During that time, Coach Keyes helped guide the Pointers to the following accolades:

-- 2019-20: SWAL Champs, WIAA Regional Champs

-- 2020-21: SWAL Champs, WIAA Regional Champs, Sectional Champs, State Runner-Up

-- 2021-22: SWAL Champs, WIAA Regional Champs, Sectional Champs, State Champs

Keyes was named SWAL Coach of the Year in 2021-22, as well as a WBCA All-Star Coach in 2023.

Food Drive

4th Grade Adventure Camp students will be collecting non-perishable food items for the next couple of weeks and will be donating the items to Southwest CAP in Dodgeville. On the last day of summer school (Thursday 7/27), the class will travel to Southwest CAP to help put together food bags and to donate the received items. If you're interested in donating, please drop items off at the elementary school office or send to summer school with your student. Thank you!

Substitute Teacher Training

We'd love to have you join our sub pool! You can get licensed in time for the new school year. There will be a Substitute Teacher Training held in Conference Room A at CESA 3 in Fennimore at 9 am on August 3. Lunch is included. This training is one of the requirements for a sub license in Wisconsin (including the minimum of an associate's degree). Instruction will end at 2 pm. Registrants with questions or needing assistance with the license application can stay after the workshop to receive help.
