Midweek Newsletter 8/30
Hey Band Parents!
This is the final push for Marchathon! It's this Saturday! The kids need to be there at 8:30am and I would like the volunteers at that time as well. You can park in the back of CHE, as far away from the elementary park as possible- the kids will be blocking up there.
Thank you to all of the volunteers! We almost had a completely full signup! There are a few more openings for water coolers, but hopefully we have enough to hydrate our amazing players, looks like another super warm event! I will be wearing my PINK Hebron shirt so I will be easy to spot.
We have a few days left for anyone interested in conducting or dedicating a song during the route. If you're on the fence, keep in mind it is $150 this week, and will increase to $200 on Saturday.
Also, remember that Sophia's Kitchen and The Grind Kitchen are donating 20% of the entire day's proceeds to us- there will be a receipt basket for Friends of the Band, stop by for a refreshment afterwards!

Remember- all proceeds go directly back to the band and this counts towards your child’s personal fundraising goals! We also have a few volunteer spots left, if you’re available to help that day we would greatly appreciate it! This is such a fun event, we hope you are all able to come join us!

LISD Bond & VATRE Information
The Hebron Band Booster Club would like to let our parents know that the LISD Board of Trustees has voted to call for a $1.23B bond election and a voter-approved tax rate ratification election (VATRE). Both proposals will be up for voter approval on November 7th.
Registered voters residing within Lewisville ISD boundaries will be asked to consider a total of seven propositions that would generate additional funding to support educational programs and conduct maintenance, repairs and renovations across the district. If voters approve all six bond propositions (totaling $1.23B) and the VATRE, the total tax rate will be 10.6 cents lower than last year’s tax rate, a double-digit decrease in the total rate.

October 23rd - Early voting begins
October 27 - Last Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail***
November 3 - Early Voting Ends
November 7 - Election Day
*** To be eligible to vote early by mail in Texas you must:
be 65 years or older;
be sick or disabled;
be out of the county on election day and during the period for early voting by personal appearance; or
be expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day; or
be confined in jail, but otherwise eligible.
