BHS Update - Week of September 26th
Greetings, BHS Families, this is Week #5 of Semester 1.
Tiger News for this week:
REMINDER: The COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic, takes place tomorrow morning (9/27 in the morning). The REGISTRATION FORM must be completed in order for students to participate. Additionally, please see the vaccine FACT SHEET for more information. The 2nd Dose will take place on October 18th.
Tardies and Detentions
Learning begins at the bell! Students are expected to arrive to class on time, and have been given three full weeks to adjust to their schedule. After-School Detentions are assigned for each tardy received. After-School Detention will be held from 2:15pm - 3:15pm in the Media Center. Please speak to your student about the importance of being on time. Tardy Policy
Parent Teacher Conferences will be VIRTUAL again this year. These will be held on October 13th from 4:00pm-7:00pm and on October 14th from 12:00pm-3:00pm and again from 4:00pm-7:00pm. More details to follow.
Attention Senior Families (Class of 2022): A Virtual Senior Parent Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. Please see the information below.
Student Council - HOMECOMING WEEK!
Homecoming week begins next week (October 4th)! Students have already begun receiving information from Student Council. Here is the Spirit Week information.

Wednesday (10/6) – Class T-shirt Day
- Students are encouraged to wear any shirt that reps their year of graduation but only shirts bought from the school will count for credit

ATTENTION Class of 2022 Families! There will be a Virtual Senior Parent Meeting on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. The link to join the meeting is: meet.google.com/wag-hfwp-mhh .
This meeting will discuss everything seniors and their parents need to know concerning their senior year. Information will include: credits, college and trade school visits, yearbook including senior ads and senior pictures, ordering cap and gowns, taking the SAT/ACT, scholarships, completing the FAFSA, senior volunteer hours, senior yard signs, and senior events sponsored by student council.
Counselors, administrators, college advisor and student council advisors will be in attendance to answer your questions. We are giving parents the opportunity to submit questions ahead of time. Please complete the google form before the meeting. Here is the link to the form

The State of Michigan has required us to OFFER the Fall PSAT(9th), the PSAT/NMSQT (10th,11th) and the SAT(Seniors only) to our students this October. Students are NOT REQUIRED to participate in Fall testing, however, if you would like your child to participate in Fall testing you must fill out the form below. Once we get an accurate number of how many students want to participate, we can plan accordingly.
TEST DATES:
- SAT (No Essay) - October 13th - Seniors ONLY
- PSAT/NMSQT - October 26th - 10th & 11th Grades
- PSAT- October 27th - 9th Grade
NOTE: If your child is a Senior this year and did NOT take the SAT last April with us at BHS, they can take the SAT with us this October.
Fall Testing "opt in" Form Deadline Sunday, October 3rd
