LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS MONDAY, JUNE 3, 2019
Week of April 29--May 03, 2019
WE ARE LOWELL
Our theme at Lowell this year is "We are Lowell...CORE is our Superpower!"--Civility, Order, Respect, Excellence. We are encouraging students to embrace this challenge and achieve them.
A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Our 3rd and 4th graders completed their ILEARN MATH Assessments this week! We are so proud of their hard work and effort. ILEARN TESTING WILL CONTINUE NEXT WEEK AS STUDENTS WILL START THE ENGLISH/LANGUAGE ARTS PORTION. Please make sure students arrive to school on time every day so we can ensure they have time to complete these important assessments! Thank you for your support!
Tonight is our Spring Fling and Family Dance Night starting at 6:00pm. We hope many of you can join us this evening. Doors open at 6:00pm and the dance will conclude at 8:00pm. We will have dinner available to purchase as well as concessions. There will Bingo in the cafeteria, games for students to play, face painting, and of course a dj and dancing in the gym. The Book Fair will also be open during Spring Fling. As a reminder, this is a family event so students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. It should be a fun night! See you at 6pm!
We want to wish GOOD LUCK to our Lowell Robotics Team as they head to Worlds this weekend in Louisville! We are proud of all of their accomplishments and know they will represent Lowell well at the World’s Competition! Go get ‘em!!
The week of May 6th is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. We have the best staff around, and I feel so very fortunate to work with each of them! Take some time to express your gratitude to our teachers and support staff for the great work they do every day!
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Griffin
Good Luck to our Robotics Team as they head to worlds this weekend!!!
ILEARN TESTING CONTINUES WEDNESDAY APRIL 24 -- MAY 17 GRADES 3 & 4
Students in grades 3 & 4 will begin taking the ILEARN Assessment on Monday, April 22. Students will test for approximately one hour/day over the course of 9 -12 school days. Our students have been working so hard to prepare and WE BELIEVE IN THEM! Our student know that one test does not define them! We simply want students to do their personal best every day! That is what matters the most! Thank you for supporting your children and encouraging them to do their best! Please make sure students are well rested over the course of testing and arrive at school on time every day! Attendance is always important but even more so during this testing window! We appreciate you scheduling appointments around testing so students will be at school every day! Thank you!
ART SHOW
We hope many of you will take some time to stop by the Warren Township Elementary and Intermediate Art Show at the Porter Service Center at 9150 E. Rawles Avenue. The Art Show will be open from Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3, 2019 from 7:00am - 7:00pm. Stop by and see the great work that some of our students have done. Our 4th graders also worked on a collaborative piece in which each participated! It is always amazing to see what talent we have at Lowell and across the district!

Good attendance = Good Academic Success
Below are year-to-date attendance percentages for each grade level. Our attendance goal is 97%. Our 4th quarter of learning is invaluable, and it is important for students to be at school every day!
