Do you still need to schedule a conference? Contact your child's teacher for open time slots.

Student Data will be available at Steele Parent/Teacher conferences. If you are

unable to attend a conference for your student(s). Please contact the school office to

obtain your students' assessment data. For all students, there will be iReady Math and ELA diagnostic reports and AIMS reading reports. For our 4th grade students only, we will provide the Illinois Assessment of Readiness reports from the state test that occurred at the end of last year. If you would like to request that a copy be mailed to you, please contact our school’s front office.

The Galesburg Fire Department will be here on October 28th to visit each of our classrooms to discuss fire safety. Topics such as the role of firefighter, smoke detectors, evacuation plans, and reuniting places will be covered.

The Galesburg Senior High Student Council will be sponsoring the annual Trunk-or-Treat on October 30, 2022. The event will take place in the student parking lot at 1135 West Fremont Street from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All costumed students in 6th grade and under are welcome to attend. Rain Date: Monday, October 31, 2022, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The District will hold a school safety town hall meeting for all CUSD #205 Stakeholders. (Students, Staff, Parents, Guardians, Community Members, Community Leaders, Board Members, etc.)

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Galesburg Junior Senior High School

from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Transportation is available and can be requested via a QR code (see flyer below).

Goals for the town hall:

1. Provide factual information and data to stakeholders
2. Respond to concerns and questions from stakeholders while allowing an opportunity for all voices to be represented, heard, and respected
3. Work together to provide solution-based ideas and incorporate a plan of action moving forward
