School Counselor Appreciation Week
Scott City Elementary
February 7-11, 2022 is National School Counselor Appreciation Week and we want to take this time to thank Mrs. Stacy Cossey for all that she does for our students, staff, and community. Mrs. Cossey goes above and beyond to create a safe and respectful learning environment. She is a team player, an SC Fearless Leader, and is passionate about our families at Scott City Elementary. Mrs. Cossey is also a certified handler and trainer for our therapy dog, Holly. The students absolutely love Holly. She works her magic to de-escalate situations and eases tensions and fears. When students get upset, it only takes a few minutes with Mrs. Cossey and Holly and they start feeling better. A huge thank you to Mrs. Cossey & Holly for sharing their passions and gifts at SCE. Week full of Celebrations!
Monday, Feb. 7: "Sweetest Team Ever"
Bring sweet treats to show how "sweet" of a team they are.
Tuesday, Feb. 8: "You are Nailing it"
We are getting Mrs. Cossey a gift card to Cosmo Nail - her favorite place to get her nails done.
Wednesday, Feb. 9: "Shower with Flowers"
Shower Mrs. Cossey and Holly with flowers. Bring flowers or draw pictures of flowers.
Thursday, Feb. 10: "Be Kind"
Mrs. Cossey is always talking to us about the importance of being kind. Today in her honor - pay it forward. Do something nice for a friend, parent, teacher, etc. Be intentional. Spread Kindness.
Friday, Feb. 11: "Better Together"
Write thank you notes/ draw them pictures, to show how much we appreciate Mrs. Cossey & Holly.
