Celebrate Montessori everywhere!

The Pink Tower is one of the most recognizable materials found in the Montessori Education world. We will be highlighting the Pink Tower as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Montessori Education in the Des Moines Public School District. To foster a Montessori mindset beyond the Cowles Montessori School walls, Principal Johnson is asking you and your children to participate in a fun activity that will connect the school, home, and the community to one another.

Where is the Pink Tower now?

The Pink Tower has traveled to 7 locations across the Des Monies area. Several students have found it in places like the Sculpture Park, Walnut Creek Park, Rotary Park, the Art Center, Buccaneer Arena, Gray's Lake, and Merle Hay Mall.

Happy New Year! There is so much to look forward to in 2018. We will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Montessori Education in the Des Moines Public School District in several big ways. This is significant in the fact that we are currently the only public Montessori school in the state of Iowa and DMPS will be adding a second public Montessori school in the near future.

Other important dates in 2018 include a mix of traditional and new events:
- International Montessori Week in February
- Breaking ground for our new addition this Spring
- Moving Up Ceremony in May
