Parent Volunteer Opportunities

Parents, there are several opportunities for you to volunteer for the choir program throughout the year. The first of which is the upcoming District Audition Workshop. You will be receiving a separate email with more details on how you can help with that event. In the meantime, if you would like to volunteer for the choir program, please fill out Volunteer Survey below.

District Audition Workshop on September 2

The District Audition Workshop will be at The Woodlands HS 9th grade campus 10010 Branch Crossing Drive, The Woodlands 77382 on Sept. 2nd. This workshop is highly recommended for all who are auditioning for District and is a great way to be certain you’re prepared one week before the audition. Cost is $25 (to be paid on site) and includes pizza for lunch! To help us with our planning, you can sign up today using the link below! Please bring your own music, a pencil, and a few dollars for concessions. We hope to see you there!

Please plan to attend our Choir Parent Meeting on Tuesday, September 5th.

We are very excited about our Choir Parent Meeting &Student Performance on Tuesday, 9/5/23.

The meeting will be held at TWHS 6101 Research Forest Drive, in the cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. This is a required performance for choir members, and a major grade.

Topics for the parent meeting will include:

Choir uniforms
Choir Fees and Finances
Fundraising
Booster Club & Volunteer Opportunities
Spirit Wear
Spring Trip Opportunity

Students: Wear red polos, jeans, closed toed shoes. (note for new TWHS choir members: your red polo will be delivered to you before the performance and will be billed later).

For students, their timeline is:

5:15 pm - 9th Treble arrives at TWHS Choir Room (Practice National Anthem)

5:30 pm – All Sopranos & Altos in Band Hall. (Practice Terre & Only in Sleep)

5:45 pm – Varsity Men in Band Hall. (Practice Non Havea & Only in Sleep)

6:00 pm – Parent Meeting begins in Cafeteria

6:15 pm – All Walk to Cafeteria

6:30 pm – Concert 1. SSB 2. Non Havea 3. Terre 4. Only in Sleep

7:00 pm - Dismissal

Parents, If you are unable to attend the meeting, information will be posted in the handouts section of Charms by Monday 9/11/23.

District Choir Auditions on Saturday, September 16

District is the first round of the All-State Choir audition process.The auditions are at Oak Ridge HS. We will meet at 6:45 am at TWHS SENIOR CAMPUS and take buses to Oak Ridge HS. More details will be sent to all students who are auditioning and their parents to the email addresses listed in Charms. Students, if you are planning to audition and have not yet turned in your Entry Form, please do so by Friday August 25th. They are available in the choir room.

Choir Parent Remind - Sign Up Today!
