Inside the Classroom
This is a great example of the types of vocabulary strategies that are being used to help your student learn new vocabulary in their content. A good word wall is interactive and referenced by students often. Check you child's interactive notebook for similar resources. Having your student explain the images and notations is a really good way to solidify their learning.
Congratulations to Mrs. Holland (08), Ms. Davis (7) and Ms. Smithers for being nominated by the AVID students for applying the WICOR / Kagan strategies during instructional time. They make learning engaging, rigorous and collaborative.
PTA Reflections Contest
Reflections has been a staple arts program in schools for more than 50 years. Through the efforts of our Local PTAs, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance, choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.

All entries due by November 9th.
Submit completed entries to Mrs. Miles with your completed entry form.

The students and teachers at Moore are thankful for our wonderful PTA. Congratulations on being named a national PTA school of excellence every year since 2017. Thank you for all that you do to support the HERD. By joining PTA, you help fund special projects for our campus. You are also able to volunteer at school events. We value the participation of our parents and community members in our daily campus life.

Come join the fun at the Moore MST Fall Fest on Friday October 7, from 6-9pm. Minute to win it games, dunk tank, game booths, inflatables, DJ, food and FUN are waiting for you! Fall Fest will take place on the Moore Football Field. A PTA Membership is your entrance ticket!
