The Board of Education provides a "Board Meeting Summary" after each Board meeting. The summary includes a brief description of the main topics and action items. These summaries are not meant to replace minutes. The minutes for each meeting are approved and posted after the next regularly scheduled meeting. We hope these summaries provide some basic information and context around the reports, presentations and action items. Recovery of District Records

For the past two months, the Board of Education has been seeking the return, or confirmation of the deletion, of a large volume of email records downloaded by Stephanie Clark near the end of her service as a Board member in late April of this year. At the July 10 special meeting the Board accepted written confirmation from Ms. Clark’s attorney that the downloaded email records had been securely deleted and that Ms. Clark continued her commitments to confidentiality. The Board is appreciative that its concerns over the security and confidentiality of the emails could be resolved in this manner. The Board will also be initiating the development of new policies and revision of current policies to provide more comprehensive guidance and expectations for Board members and employees regarding access to and retention of District records.

In keeping with the Board’s commitment to transparency, a statement, a letter and communications which provide a fuller explanation of the Board’s actions at the July 10 meeting are available. This link includes the formal statement made at the meeting by current Board President Bob Bruno. A copy of the letter from Ms. Clark’s attorney which Mr. Bruno read at the meeting and the written and email communications between the Board and Ms. Clark regarding this issue are also being provided to the pubic. Finally, all of the motions referenced in Dr. Bruno’s statement were adopted by the Board.
