Dear Stonybrook parents and caregivers,

The number of Covid cases are on the rise in Indiana. It is essential for the safety of our students, teachers, staff and families that everyone wears face coverings correctly, follow social distancing guidelines, and hand wash and sanitize frequently. Please remind your student/s to wear their face coverings properly so that it covers their nose and mouth.

Second Semester Learning Option Change Request

The window to change from virtual to in-person or in-person to virtual will open up on November 13th and will close November 24th. This will be the last time that we will allow families to switch from virtual to in-person and vice versa.

For all virtual families, here are a list of assessments that need to be taken in-person K-8:

NWEA (Only for those seeking to be considered for High Ability classes.)

Stonybrook's Parent Teacher Student Association has many important functions. The PTSA helps link families to important school and community information, host fun, educational clubs, programs and events for our families and they raise money to support the specific needs of our school. It takes a village to raise the next generation, join today.

Virtual Learners Picture Day

If your student is a virtual learner, they can have their school picture taken on November 20th from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM at Moorhead Community Resource Center: 8400 E. 10TH STREET: ENTER THROUGH DOOR #1.

Please follow this process for ordering your pictures:

You will need to go to Inter-state. com https://inter-state.com/FlyerEntry
Enter school code (55240wa) click next
This section will ask if the school is WARREN TOWNSHIP SCHOOLS ADMINISTRATION and the date 11/20 (click yes)
Enter all information that is requested:

then click continue.

Please note at this point you will pre order school pictures without any proofs to select from.
Please note pictures are for families only and will not be in the homeschool year book.
Please note pictures will be taken at Moorhead Community Resource Center and not at the student’s homeschool.
Please note we will not have picture retakes and families will not be allowed into the Moorhead Community Resource Center building after 3:45 PM.

Families that are in the VLA all year can email a picture of their student to their homeschool's front office on or before January 15th. Parents need to send a pic in the JPEG format. Students that were in the VLA at any time in the first semester will have a group photo taken by Inter-State in Q3 if they are in-person in the second semester. Inter-State will add a VLA Page to each yearbook and this is where all VLA pictures will be placed. VLA students will not be seen in any other part of the yearbook.

The Moorhead technology help desk has moved to door 11 at the rear of the building located near the playground. Please drive through the gate on the west side of the building and, after parking, enter door 11 for assistance. The Technology team will keep the same hours for the help desk: Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 11am to 1pm.

Stadium/Gymnasium Bag Policy

We are committed to your safety and enjoyable experience in our Stadium/Gymnasium. The following items are permitted in our facility:

 One clear plastic or vinyl bag that does not exceed 12 inches (height) x 6 inches (depth) x
12 inches (length) or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag.

 An exception may be made for any items necessary for medical purposes, subject to
search.

 Small clutch purse NO LARGER than 6 inches by 9 inches.

The following items are prohibited in our facility:

 Backpacks and sports/duffel bags will not be permitted

 Drawstring bags will not be permitted

 Purses and tote bags will not be permitted

 Diaper bags will not be permitted. Parents with infants or toddlers may carry a clear gallon
size bag with necessary items for their child.

 Coolers, outside food and drinks will not be permitted.

All items are subject to inspection. Thank you so much for your support and cooperation.

2019-20 Stonybrook Yearbooks have arrived!

The yearbooks are 60 pages of memories, full color and $25. They may be purchased from the bookstore. Hurry, before they are gone.

Please remind your child to bring their face mask to school!

Students who are dropped off for sports, may not be able to participate if they do not bring a face mask.

This includes students coming to school, please remind them to have a mask with them before leaving the house.

Our supply of masks is running low. We appreciate your help!

School District Publications/News Media Use

The occasion may arise when the school district wants to recognize your child or Stonybrook. This may include your child's photo, your child's name or your child's work in district publications, newsletters, on school district websites, and in electronic/social media or in staff training videos. We may also want to tell the media (including newspapers, television, and radio) about your child's achievements. We never knowingly release information about a student to anyone who wants to use it for commercial/political purposes. However, we will honor your request to not include your child in these types of recognitions if you notify our office in writing that you do not want this type of information released

Stonybrook Face Mask

We have washable Stonybrook face mask's for sale in our Bookstore. They are $10.00 each.

Dress Code

Parents, please remind your students to follow the Stonybrook dress code policy. We are seeing some hoodies, flip flops, and sweat pants. We will be contacting you next week if your student comes to school out of dress code. Thanks for your help! A link to the dress code policy is below.
