Friday, September 30 - StuCo Spirit Event
Student Council is hosting a “Who Dunnit” Spirit Event this Friday, September 30th, during the school day. Elementary, middle, and high school students will receive clues to solve the mystery at FWAFA. What crime has happened? Who is involved? What will happen next? Stay tuned for more information during morning assemblies this week!
Monsteriffic: Monster Art Show & Theatre Performance
Sponsored by FWAFA National Art Honor Society
Oct 5 | 5PM
The Monster Art Show is a FWAFA Favorite. This annual tradition connects our youngest artists to our high school students in a collaborative effort to raise money for the FWAFA Art department.
Third grade students spend time designing and creating a monster straight from their imagination. High school students then take that creation and bring it to life with their phenomenal artistic skills. Monster artwork can range in medium, anywhere from paintings to digital renditions, to glass sculpture, to crochet.
Third grade parents will have the opportunity to purchase their child's monster to take home. There will also be additional monsters to purchase and some fun trinkets for anyone to purchase. All proceeds will go to the Visual Arts Program, benefitting our budding artists.
Theatre Performance:
"Calling All the Monsters or You're Going to be in Big Trouble!"
Starting at 6:30 p.m. in the FWAFA auditorium, "Monsteriffic" is a combined performance for our 3rd & 4th grade Theatre students. "Monsteriffic" will showcase poems and stories by our 3rd grade students, group scenes by our 4th grade students, and a combined performance with both grades. This should be a scary good time!
Event is FREE and appropriate for all ages.

Goosebumps: FWAFA Combined Choirs Fall Concert

Calling all foolish mortals: join the FWAFA Choral Department and special guests from FWAFA Dance for a spooktacular concert celebrating all things October!
Come celebrate the season with TBC as they take you through the incantations of the Wayward Sisters or ride along with CCT as they conjure up the sights and sounds of the Great Hall at Hogwarts. Maybe you'll even travel on the back of an Alebrije to cross the Marigold Bridge with SGT and FWAFA Dance as they explore the culture and beauty of Dia de Los Muertos!
Dress up in your favorite costume, get on your broomstick, and fly in to see "Goosebumps" on Friday, October 14th at 7:00 p.m. at Birchman Baptist Church. There will even be a few sweet treats for the ghouls and ghosts who show their spooky spirit!
Our next step is to start the build of our set the amazing Bob Lavallee has designed for us this year. Bob is helping us to be as frugal as possible by using the same lumber for both Oklahoma, Peter and the Starcatcher and maybe even our middle school musical, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown.
THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
Lumber is still so expensive, and we need lots of it for our sets so if you are able to help us with ANY SIZE gift card to Home Depot, we will put it to excellent use. Check those kitchen drawers and see if there just happens to be a gift card you don’t need right now. No amount is too small (or too big)!
You can drop off your gifts at the front desk or send them with your student in an envelope that says SET DONATION. Cash works too or if you want to write a check, you can make it out to TCAA and write SET DONATION in the line item. Please include your name with your gift if you feel comfortable doing that so we can thank you in our program!!
HOME DEPOT GIFT CARDS
Are all greatly appreciated. We do not need donations of actual items at this time as the needs are very specific.
