Las Positas Updates
2/16/24 Volume 3 (28)
Happy Friday!
Hello Las Positas Lions,
We hope everyone had a delightful Valentine's Day celebration filled with love and warmth. It was heartwarming to see our students exchanging tokens of appreciation and spreading kindness throughout the school community.
With February also comes the end of the trimester. We commend our students for their hard work, dedication, and resilience throughout these past few months. As we wrap up this trimester, let's reflect on the progress made and set new goals for the upcoming one.
We want to extend a sincere thank you to all our parents and guardians for your unwavering support. Your involvement, whether through volunteering, attending parent-teacher conferences, or simply being present in your child's academic journey, makes a significant difference.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Your input is invaluable as we strive to create the best possible learning environment for our students.
We will continue to focus on the IB Learner Profile 'Thinker'
Have a wonderful thought provoking weekend!

We Are Making Progress on iReady
iReady is an important part of your child's learning. It is a differentiated reading and math program that adjusts to the level of our learners. We take the diagnostic assessment on iReady 3 times a year: Fall, January, and May. This allows us to see the progress of our students, so it is extremely important that students do their absolute best. Below is the diagnostic results from the January window. The bright color band shows the current data and the faded color band shows the data from the fall. The more green we see the better; the less red we see the better. Our students are showing growth and we are so proud of them. Please, continue to encourage students to take their time and do their best.
