Winter break begins Wednesday, December 20. Classes will resume on Wednesday, January 3.

December 19 | North Winter Parties
We are so excited to celebrate all our students' hard work with fun winter-themed parties!
December 20-January 2 | Winter Break
Midview Local Schools will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 20, through Tuesday, Jan. 2, for Winter Break. School will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 3!
January 8-19 | Winter MAP Assessments
MAP assessments (taken in the fall, winter, and spring), joined with other data points, provide detailed, actionable data about where each child is on his or her unique learning path. The winter assessment will measure our students’ progress in reading (grades 1 & 2) and math (grades K-2).
January 15 | Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Midview Local Schools will be closed.
January 19 | End of 2nd Quarter
When we return from Winter Break on Jan. 3, only twelve days will be left in the second quarter!
January 22 | Records Day
Midview Local Schools will be closed.
Gifted Identification
The referral window to recommend a student for gifted identification in the areas of superior cognitive ability, academic ability, creativity, and/or visual performing arts is now live. If you feel your child may meet the criteria as established by the State Department of Education and the Midview Local School District, please complete the following questionnaire no later than Friday, Jan. 9, 2024.
The Gingerbread Man
Mrs. Manning's second grade class practiced their speaking and listening standards while performing the Gingerbread Man for the entire kindergarten class! They made props, rehearsed lines, and made costumes! Actors and narrators practiced their fluency, expression and using their BIG voice so the audience clearly hears and understands them.
Run, Run As Fast As You Can...
The Gingerbread Man was around to classrooms this week to visit students.
You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch
The Grinch visited North Elementary on Thursday, December 14. Mrs. Whitesel's class practiced their best Grinch faces with Mr. Grinch.
Holiday Concert
Our first graders rocked it while preforming at the Holiday concerts this week. We are so proud of all of their hard work!
PBIS Corner
PBIS Rewards
This week students enjoyed Popcorn or a Sweet Treat as a reward for earning PBIS Tickets. Students earn PBIS Tickets when they are Ready, Responsible, and Respectful during the school day. Pictured are a few of our 1st graders picking up their sweet treat.
PBIS State Support Team Award
This week, Midview North Elementary was presented with the Bronze Award for the 2022-2023 school from the Ohio PBIS Network and State Support Team.
