Our next PTA meeting will be held on Thursday, February 6th at 4PM in the Media Center. We hope you will attend, your voice is important! *In the event of snow, the meeting will be held same time and place on February 13th.

Do you have a sweetheart at CES that deserves a special treat? This year, the PTA is selling Sweetheart Grams for $1 each (cash only please). Sweetheart Gram forms were sent home in your child's Thursday folder. Please send in your payment and form back to school by February 7th. All Sweetheart Grams will be delivered the week of February 10th. Please see our website, www.ptaces.org to print out extra copies.

Heritage Night (Thursday 3/14, at 7pm) will be a night sponsored
by UMS and supported by UES and CES to celebrate and embrace
the eclectic cultures throughout the Urbana Community.
Introducing new sights, sounds, and experiences from all over
the world through music, food, and entertainment; provided by

members of our very own community.

Save the Date for one of the best events of the year...Helping Hoops! Every year, CES gives back to the community by collecting as many items as we can for the Urbana Food Bank. Last year, we collected over 5,800 items for the food bank! We top it off with a special game between the CES staff and 5th grade students. This is one event you won't want to miss! Helping Hoops will take place at Urbana High School on March 11, 2020.

Our February Box Top drive will be February 3-21. No more clipping Box Tops! Go to https://www.boxtops4education.com/ to get the new Box Tops app and simply scan products and your receipt to earn money for CES in real time! It can't get any easier!

Please join us on February 21at 6:30pm in the CES Cafeteria for Family Movie Night! We'll be showing the 2019 Lion King (rated PG, 118 min). Concessions will be offered for a small fee. Come in your pjs and bring a blanket to sit on! Please enter through the bus loop doors.

**All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

We have some exciting news about the National PTA Reflections Contest!!!! The following students have won on the Frederick County level and are now in the State competition!!! Woohooooo! We will announce any State winners when we get the news!
