Dear Armin Jahr and West Hills families:
We are excited to announce a new partnership with Right At School, a nationally-recognized school enrichment provider, for before and after school care at West Hills STEM Academy (WHSA) and Armin Jahr (AJ) Elementary.
This program will be offered beginning in the 2022-23 school year for WHSA and AJ students in students in kindergarten through fifth grades.
The program is available before school starting at 6:30 a.m., and after school until 6 p.m. every day school is in session. Families will be able to work with Right At School to create flexible monthly schedules to support their busy lives. Families can create their own monthly schedule by choosing 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week. Discounts are available for siblings and for low-income families, and Right At School accepts Childcare Aware and DSHS.
Right At School provides families flexibility in enrollment options and a comprehensive enrichment curriculum to keep our students engaged while they participate. Students will have a healthy snack, engage in dynamic fitness activities, student-driven projects, team building, leadership development, and have the opportunity to complete homework. The program also features an enriched curriculum in the form of two-week units. Examples of units include:
Getting down to business: students are introduced to money and commerce
Icky experiments: students experiment with sticky substances to learn chemistry
Variety show: students rehearse and perform individual talent acts

We look forward to enhancing the educational experience of our students and families and offering families an option for quality before- and after-school childcare through this exciting partnership.
