Dear Coloma Intermediate Families,

To celebrate my first day as the Coloma Intermediate School principal, we will kick off the week with some introductions in the classrooms, at recess, and during lunch in hopes of building a foundation that is based on trust and respect. As the new Coloma Intermediate School Principal, my goal is to continue to build a culture that focuses on empowering, encouraging, and engaging others.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or just want to introduce yourself. I was grateful to be able to meet some of our families at parent/teacher conferences and look forward to meeting the rest of you in the near future.

For the safety of our students, please do not park or wait to pick up your child/children on S West Street. Instead, enter the large parking lot off of Red Arrow Highway, have your student(s) utilize the crossing guard to cross the street, and use the exit closest to the building for departure.

Pick Up Guidelines

Our Lory’s Place grief group meets once a month, during school hours, to help students process the grief of losing a loved one. If you would like your student to be a part of the group, participation is free, but parent/guardian permission must be given.

CIS incorporates social-emotional learning (SEL) through our Second Step curriculum. All of our students in grades K-8 have a designated time each week for SEL lessons. Second Step uses a holistic approach to building supportive communities for every child through social-emotional learning.

On late start Wednesdays, the CIS doors will open at 9:45am and school begins at 10:10am.
