The Viking Spotlight is the part in my weekly newsletter used to highlight and celebrate our students and staff anytime we can! If you would like your child acknowledged for something they have accomplished, whether on campus or off-campus, please feel free to fill out this google form HERE. I look forward to celebrating our Vikings and all of the great things they are doing!
Message from the Principal 💛
Welcome to Viking Vibes, my weekly newsletter for our Viking families! This is my first newsletter of the school year. Normally, I send it out each week on Sunday afternoons to provide you with information for the upcoming week. I hope you enjoy it! 💛
It was great to see SO many new Vikings and their parents/guardians on campus today for the New Student Orientation!! It was a great turnout which is a great sign of the level of engagement our newest Vikings and their parents/guardians will bring this year!! I also want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we worked through some technical difficulties throughout the event. You were all so gracious! In case you missed it, HERE is a copy of the presentation from the Parent/Guardian meeting.
Now for the details you've been waiting for...opening day logistics! 😉 Everyone will enter through the south entrance of the cafeteria off Halo Street, starting at 7:30am. See map HERE! You will enter the cafeteria and pick up your schedule by locating the table with your last name. Once you have your schedule, you will continue onto campus, either in the quad or the Viking Stage area. The bell rings at 8:10am, at which time ALL students will go to the Viking Stage for an Opening Rally. After the rally, students will proceed to their Advisory class.
We would like to cordially invite ALL parents/guardians for a "Sip & See" between 7:30am-8:10am. We know letting go of your 7th graders on Day 1 can be hard, so we invite you, and any 8th grade parents, to come onto campus with them before school starts and grab some coffee and treats on the way! When the bell rings at 8:10am, we ask that all parents say their final goodbyes and exit the campus, so we can start our day! Hope to see you there!
Last, but not least, if you haven't already read the Welcome Back Letter that I sent to all parents/guardians a few days ago, please click HERE to do so!
Make it a great week, Vikings!!
Take care,
Ms. Scott
