Although I am a children's librarian, I do read adult material as well; adult, meaning written for grown-ups, not rated XXX. (I thought I ought to clarify.) Although, in all honesty, the reader needs to be comfortable with graphic language, so maybe I should just shut up.

I laughed my way through this irreverent, touching, memoir. Part of its charm for me was that I saw myself in so much of it. The copy I read was borrowed. When I finished the book, I bought a copy just for the joy of sharing it with others. If that isn't a hearty endorsement, I don't know what is!

I also started following the "Bloggess" in my feed. She is remarkably funny and smart, and I feel that she has become the best friend I've never met. Read this book, read the blog, you will thank me for it.
