Middle School All-Region Band
TMEA All Region Jazz Band
Brian Rayner 1st Chair
Three of our RHMS band students auditioned for the TMEA All Region Jazz Band. Auditioning students included Brian Rayner, Jacob Delgado and Isabella Rocha. Brian Rayner earned 1st chair in the TMEA All Region Jazz Band! This is an especially big accomplishment since our students auditioned up a classification (5A and 6A feeder middle schools). Rio Hondo Middle School is the only A-4A middle school represented in the All Region Jazz Band. Congratulations to all our students for a job well done!

#ThoughtForTheDay...”Ever reached a point where a student’s tardiness, chronic absenteeism, lack of effort, or immature behavior frustrated or upset you, but when you learned their full story it broke your heart? See these behaviors as starting points, not ending points.” @casas_jimmy
“This is what teachers do. We have brief, temporary encounters with hundreds of kids a year, and yet those brief moments have permanent, lasting impacts. You may be a small part of a kid’s story, but the role you play in it is HUGE.” #relationships
