With the onset of Summer, we get ready for graduation here at Denali PEAK! Seniors are counting the days, and dreaming about finishing a 13 year journey and accomplishing a goal that will affect their entire life. Final projects are being finished, grades are being submitted for the last time, and joy is being felt for a "job well done". Now all that is left is Commencement. And whereas this is just the beginning of their future, it is the end that we must focus on now.

Here are a few important dates and times to remember for this years Graduation Commencement:

• Graduation will be held June 2, 2023 from 2-4 pm.
• Please RSVP to your Advisor/Teacher if you are planning to attend if you have not already.
• Be sure to attend the planning meetings that are being held.
• If you have any questions regarding commencement, please call or email one of our offices and we will be glad to help you.

Yes it is once again that time of year when the snow melts, birds come back from their winter homes, and we get set up for the next school year! This year we are starting a bit early with enrollment, allowing our parents to get this business out of the way before the commencement of summer. This will allow you to ease into the new school year already set and ready to go.

Our friends at Club Sports Alaska are starting to kick it - Literally! This is a great program that is also a Direct-Pay Vendor with Denali PEAK! This was from their website at http://www.clubsportsalaska.com/youth/may-outdoor-soccer/

"Club Sports Alaska offers a fun and exciting outdoor soccer program for youth 4 through 14 years old starting May 22th, 2023 and ending June 28. We will meet Mondays & Wednesdays during 3 time slots. Times are 5:15, 6:30pm & 7:45pm. Each night teams will play at one of the listed time slots, and time slots vary each day. Teams will have an equal number of early, middle and late games. All games will be at the Mears Middle School.

This program is designed as a developmental program and is dedicated to building skills. The first thirty minutes of the 75 minute-long session is a practice session. Coaches work on skill building. The other half is set-up for play against another team with two 20 minute halves and a five minute half time break. Skill drills and then application is how your children will learn the best.

We offer the highest quality at the lowest cost while keeping the family together! This means that you will not have to drive your children to different locations on different days for the same sport. All siblings play at the SAME SITE, ON THE SAME NIGHT and AT THE SAME TIME. It does not get any easier for the family.

As wilth all of our programs, parents/guardians are required to be on site with their children. This is not a “drop-off” program. Allow us to partner with your family as we give your children a fun experience and a strong soccer foundation in a family friendly environment. "

ASO Violin principal is conducting a concert with Dr. Marcio Candido Friday May 26th at the Anchorage Lutheran Church at 6 pm. Their pieces will be Mozart Violin and Viola Duo in G major, two violin duets by Wieniawski, Telemann Gulliver Suite for two violins, and Moszkowksi trio for two violins and piano. Dawn is a life-long Alaskan that has dedicated her life to the violin, and Dr. Candido has traveled the world playing violin in many different venues. Don't miss this opportunity to hear them perform together!

Our student, Shyanne Heckel, was recognized with a Youth Summit Award last night. This celebrates and showcases students who achieve personal goals, advocates for positive and healthy causes, and works within their communities for a good cause.
