Falcon Happenings

Great things are happening at Royal!
There are SO many great things happening at Royal that we are slightly changing the format
of the newsletter. For each campus we will spotlight two stories from the past week.
We encourage you to follow each campus and student activity on social media to see the all of the news items! We encourage you to share our posts to help us get the word out about all
the amazing things happening in Royal!
As you launch into the upcoming week, keep the following quote in mind:
βKeep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.β β Mahatma Gandhi
Have a wonderful week!

Thank you to all of our bus tour passengers, who visited Falcon Stadium before being treated to a drive around the entire district to see where all the new developments are planned.
As of today, we have been informed of plans for 20,000+ lots in the coming years. While we do not have a timeline for some of the plans, dirt is already being moved on many of them.
Growth is coming to Royal. We are enrolling new students daily. We have 2,644 students (up 323 from 2,321 on August 16). We are excited to welcome the new Falcons headed our way while continuing to invest in our tomorrow by preparing our current students for happy, fulfilling futures.
Thank you to our tour participants for being involved and becoming
informed about the future of Royal ISD.
October is Bullying Prevention Month
BULLYING a single significant act or a pattern of acts by one or more students directed at
another student that exploits an imbalance of power and involves engaging in written or
verbal expression, expression through electronic means, or physical conduct that satisfies the
applicability requirements provided by Subsection (a-1) of the Texas Educational Code.
CYBERBULLYING is bullying that takes place using electronic technology, such as chat rooms,
instant messaging, social media, or other forms of digital electronic communication. With apps
and technology changing all the time, unfortunately some use them as new ways to bully. Click the attachment to learn more about this important issue.

Falcon Rumor Mill
We wanted to lay to rest rumors about the funding of the new Falcon Stadium scoreboard. The scoreboard was 100% paid for by four generous businesses: Hemi Hideout, HDH Instruments, Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union, and Grundfos. Three of the four are represented on the scoreboard, and Grundfos will be added soon. We thank each of them for their generous support of Royal Athletics and Royal ISD. As you are out in the community, please extend a thank you to the four businesses.
