First Quarter Report Cards

Due to the change in student information systems, we do not currently have the ability to email report cards. You can always check your student's grades in the parent portal. First quarter printed report cards will be available at Parent/Teacher Conferences, which are from 1:00-7:00 on Thursday, October 19th. Elementary teachers will have them for their students, middle school advisory teachers will have them for their advisory students, and high school report cards will be available to pick up when you come in the front door. Any report cards not picked up will be mailed the next week.

Some additional reminders:


  • Early release Thursday, October 19th; no school on Friday, October 20th;
  • Lunch bills need to be paid. If a student owes more than $50, s/he is not eligible for extracurricular activities until the account is paid.

We had an assembly to recognize our fall athletes--everyone had a great time!

Last week the 8th Grade American History class had so much fun learning about our Preamble to the Constitution that they decided to create their own Preamble. All students added to the document and signed at the bottom.

Chemistry is learning about Atomic Emission Spectra and used Flame Testing to identify the metal ions of various salt compounds.

We had bus evacuation drills on Tuesday of this week. Everyone did a great job!

Mobile Dental Unit Visit

Principal's Corner

Dear Parents and Community Members,

Happy Friday! Can you believe that the 1st quarter is officially over? This year is going by so fast! With the 1st quarter ending today, teachers will be working to update and post grades for their classes. You should be able to login to the parent portal for Infinite Campus on Monday afternoon to see 1st quarter grades.

Next Thursday is parent/teacher conferences and an early release day for students. School will dismiss at 12:25pm, and conferences will be held from 1-7pm. Your student’s teacher should have reached out to you about conferences already. If you haven’t heard from them and would like to schedule a conference time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to that specific teacher. We hope to see you next Thursday!

Just a reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL next Friday, October 20. I hope everyone has a wonderful three day weekend!

Job Postings

The Miller County R-III School District has the following openings available:
  • 9-12 Math Teacher, 2023-24 and/or 2024-25 school year. Would hire a retired teacher on critical shortage. Forward resume' and letter of interest to tspencer@tuscumbialions.k12.mo.us.
  • K-12 Music Teacher, 2024-25 school year. Forward resume' and letter of interest to tspencer@tuscumbialions.k12.mo.us.
  • Substitute Teachers, as needed, $90/day, must have substitute certificate and pass a background check.
  • Substitute Bus Drivers, as needed, $31.60 per route (a.m. or p.m.). If you do not have a CDL, we have an on-site trainer who will train you if you commit to substituting for our district.
