Maths:
Ms Adamska has nominated Year 8 students Erin, Kahlan, McKenzie and Phoebe for their hard work in the lessons and excellent results in the last Find The Gap test.
Mr Jackson has nominated 10CA for their excellent effort this term, winning the prizes for both attendance and reward points. Also nominated are Year 10 students Nana, Rene, Lima M and Maisie for excellent effort in their Maths lessons last week.
Mrs van der Lith has nominated Layton S (9B3) for giving excellent answers during the lesson on Time Series Graphs.
Mrs Wynn has nominated 8B3 for a fully focused lesson and Year 9 student Hayden for his excellent recall of square numbers.
Miss Kaur has nominated Year 7 student Billy for a fantastic lesson on stem and leaf diagrams. During this lesson Billy also demonstrated addition and subtraction of negative numbers with counters to the rest of the class. Brilliant effort Billy! Also nominated are 8B1 for an excellent attempt at a Year 9 lesson on probability trees as they have worked very hard to finish the year 8 probability work. They did fantastically!
Mr Horne has nominated Year 8 students milia, Alicja, Milan, Olivia M, Hannah, Scarlett W, Ella B, Ellie B, Maja B, Majka, Kate, Martyna, Aoife, Lewis, Layla and Connor who have studied probability and statistics well this term.
English:
A fantastic well done to all 11B1 from Mrs Brown. You are really understanding the higher theories in the Jekyll and Hyde part of the exam and embedding them into impressive essays. Also, well done to Year 13 English, Sacro and Carmen, who have completed and submitted their NEA both achieving outstanding outcomes for intelligent and detailed analysis.
Miss Hogan has nominated 11AP1 Literature for all their amazing work and efforts the past two years! You have been a pleasure to teach!
Miss Lodge has nominated Year 10 students Ollie J, Lucy, Stas, Oliver P, Cole, Tahmid, Harry E, Zhivko, Harry W and Toby for their brilliant reading of the final scene in Romeo and Juliet. 10B1 as a class have shown fantastic enthusiasm and focus in the study of the play and I have been really impressed with their dedication and contributions. Also nominated are Alexis and Amelia from 9AZ for their great paired work in planning their speech this week. They were extremely focused and came up with some great ideas. Miss Lodge is looking forward to seeing the finished work. Finally Year 7 students Geroge F, Sebi, Vlad, Szebasztian, Matei and Hanni who have consistently show dedication and great focus in lessons and make brilliant contributions. Well done!
Miss Magnay would like to congratulate 11A1 after their final English Literature lesson this week. They have worked so hard and Miss Magnay is very proud of them. Good luck to all year 11 students taking their English Literature exams over the next two weeks.
Well done to the Year 11 students who attended the last English revision conference this term and completed the Big English Quiz to revise core knowledge of the Literature texts. All staff in the English team attended and delivered a quiz or supported students in working out answers. There were winners from across the whole of Year 11 and teams made an excellent effort to get involved!
Mr Toye has nominated Year 10 students Keely H and Mihai for portraying Shakespearian characters effectively when reading aloud.
Mrs Morris has nominated Year 11 students Theo, Adam, Emma, Silviu, Victoria, Ewan, Dexter and Georgiana who have worked incredibly hard this week on the structure of their creative writing.
Humanities:
Miss Buffini has nominated 8TA for their hard work, and participation in History lessons this term, they have had a consistently hard-working approach to each lesson and have been a pleasure to teach. Also nominated are Year 7 student Jack A, Year 11 student Lewis and year 10 student Tyler for their helpfulness this week.
Miss Forbes has nominated 8TU for their hard work, tenacity, respect and participation in History lessons this term, they have had a consistently hard-working approach with great questions each lesson to develop their knowledge and understanding. Also nominated are Year 12 students Hallie and Finley for their hard work in Psychology this term.
Mr Foreman has nominated 10D, Well done on getting through the Medicine unit and onto Modern Medicine.
Mr Strumpher has nominated 11A Geography class for working really hard and getting ready for their examinations. Good luck with the examinations, concentrate and just try your best. You have made it this far, keep going until the end. You can do this!
Spanish:
Mrs Bartlett has been impressed by her Year 8 and 9 students who have been using the new Target Language page in our classroom Knowledge Organisers to make spontaneous interactions in Spanish, earning themselves Employability Skills reward points through their self-motivation and organisation!
Well done to all the Year 10 students who have handed in their presentation paragraph in preparation for their first Spanish speaking exam next term. You have worked hard to produce a great introduction to your chosen topic!
DT and Engineering:
Mr McCrory has nominated Year 12 students who have made a really good start on their coursework assignment. Also nominated are Year 10 students Kacper B and Ollie who have been working extremely well on their lamp portfolio and metal project.
Mr Harley has nominated Year 9 students who have been learning about mechanical devices this week, well done to Ann Maria in 9CU for her excellent book work.

Year 7 Computer Science
Mrs Macleod would like to congratulate the following Year 7CA/CS1 students for confidently finding content online and adding it to a slide deck. Students searched and downloaded suitable images to include in their work which encouraged students to use multiple tools and applications: Max, Nadia, Cornelia, Anna, Emma, Jody, Ariana, Analeigh, Isla, Keigan, Mark, Jahari, Alfred, and Josh.
Year 8 Computer Science
Students have investigated how search engine technology has become very advanced and that algorithms can now spot in search terms common phrases. Students have been looking at how “Quote Searches” are still useful and will provide more accurate results, but search algorithms can work behind the scenes to do this for you. The following students have worked hard during their computer Science lesson to get their work completed: Lucus, Aidan, Alan, Moyo, Bradley, Anna, Amelia. Megan, Aurelia, Chantal, Dylan, Alex, Filip, Mirren, Freya, Emie and Gracie.
Year 9 Computer Science
Students have continued to develop their understanding of the investigative cycle by working through the data and analysis steps of the PPDAC cycle. Students have downloaded the data they have collected and clean it before uploading it to CODAP, where they will analyse it further by creating visualisations. Year 10 Computer Science
Mrs Macleod would like to congratulate the following Year 10D/CS1 students for working hard to complete their work on RAM and ROM, The Virtual Memory and Flash Memory part of the Systems Architecture Unit: Robert, Mariyah, Joprince, Kacper, Joshua, Max, Rhys, Patriskas, Joshua, Dominika, Arian, Cole, Freddie, Dominik, Benjamin, Mihai, Marian, Keely, Stas, Zhivko, Harrison, Daniel, Toby, Toby, Tyler, Shane, Oliver and Linards.
PE:
The following students represented the school at the Year 9 District Athletics recently. Excellent effort and determination from all students who attended., these students were Riley, K-J, Orla, Finley, Tomi, Joel, Johann, Judah Kevin J, Finley R, Jamie, Alessandro, Eden, Evie B and Crystal.
Mr Clamp would also like to congratulate the Year 9 students that attended the Athletics Championships at Rockingham Triangle. In particular, Riley and K-Jay who both won their individual events of 100m and Hurdles respectively.
Science:
Mr Godfrey has nominated the Year 13 Physics class for their great participation in the mechanics masterclass run by a guest speaker from Oundle School. Also nominated are Rowan, James, Holly and Jason for their continued support to Year 11 Physics students ahead of their GCSE examinations.
Mr Anglim has nominated the following Year 7 students for making very creative illustrations of how Ultrasound is used.

Mr Tanangonan has nominated Year 7 students Kai and Mia and Year 8 students Carmen and Alan for amazing scores in their recent end of topic assessments.
Mr Abnett has nominated Year 10 student Amelie for putting a great effort into her Chemistry lessons recently.
Sixth Form:
A massive well done to Holly, Jasmine, Beau, Emily, Reese, and Finley for completing their extended project. The projects were a joy to read and displayed genuine enthusiasm for the topics they investigated.
