Mountain View Weekly Update

- On behalf of the Mountain View Middle School staff, we look forward to your “virtual” attendance at Back to School Night, scheduled for Thursday, September 2, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Back to School Night affords you the opportunity to experience a day in the life of your middle school child. As you hear from each teacher, you will learn more about the exciting opportunities that take place both in and out of the classroom. Please the attachment below for the evening’s schedule and corresponding Google Meet links.

- Reminder: All back-to-school forms, documents, and contact information updates must be completed via the Parent Portal by 4:00 p.m. today. Please see the August 17 communication from Mrs. Toth for specific details.

- Pomptonian offers daily, free hot lunch for students. Parents can now order daily (prior to 8:00 a.m.), select specific days, or order for the entire week, all from the same form. Please click here to access the order form. Note that although free lunch is available to all students, orders must be placed following the above procedure to secure a lunch for your child.

- The HSA is still looking for Room Parent volunteers for this school year. The role of a Room Parent is to help facilitate communication via email between the teachers and their classroom parents during the year. Additionally, they will support the efforts of staff appreciation lunches for their respective grades. If you are interested in becoming a Room Parent or have any questions, please contact Vanessa Cerchio at vjcerchio@gmail.com or Katie Lusk at dms91345@yahoo.com.

- HSA Coupon Book Fundraiser: The continued support of our parent community funds HSA programming, activities and investments throughout the school year. Our first fundraiser for the year will be SaveAround/KidStuff coupon books (which includes an accompanying app). Coupon books will be sent home on Monday, August 30. Each family will receive one book, with the option of offering more to family and friends with a designated link. Look for these books in your youngest (or only) child's backpack after school on Monday. Many thanks in advance for supporting our first fundraiser of the year and the HSA!
