As the COVID-19 takes increasing coverage in themedia and social media, it is time for all elements of our society to work collaboratively on a global scale to learn from and share with each other. We are all being impacted in some way. Keen interest is being shown around Information on online teaching and learning, factors to be taken into account, virtual classrooms, apps and tools to use etc. Although the status of conferences is being impacted, there continue to be global projects, conferences, online conferences and webinars to be involved in. This newsletter shares some of them.

This virus has impacted all of us around the world. Some countries have gone into lock down, communities are being isolated, schools are being closed. Online learning has taken on a new reality and importance. For many of us it is still business as usual! Following are some of the sites and resources that are being shared for learning that we have been made aware of. There are many more! Some of the most popular tools and apps are being offered for free to schools that are closed.

A group of 9th-grade students from Oahu, Hawaii, has developed a project based on GoalSixteen of the #SDGs. This is a student-led movement centered around the UN Sustainability Goal #16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and a simple idea: the only way to prepare for an uncertain future is to learn from our past and present. They are looking to build a global movement of students who are thinking about and working toward peace. They would like to invite you to participate in the project we are launching called [re]Framing Peace. Complete this google form.

[re]Framing Peace is an opportunity to use your creativity and contribute to a movement that advocates for peace. This is a photography-based project, where people of all ages can take a picture of what they believe captures peace in their community. This is a chance for world connectivity, where we can finally see the true peace that lies within each and every nation. Photos from all over the world will be collected and made into a collage on the website, and you can view your picture along with the many others submitted.

The concept involves the following:

1. Take a picture of something that shows what peace means to you. Submit it to us for it to be made into a collage on the GoalSixteen website.

2. Add a title for your picture, and approximately 2 sentences on why this is peace to you.

3. Join the movement, and change your future.
