Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan, acknowledging its limits and guarding what should be guarded in it, then it will expiate sins which came before it." - Musnad Aḥmad 11310

Assalamu alaikum respected parents and families,


ASSEMBLY on March 12th: Our Morning Assembly on March 12th was led by Imam Azfar on the topic of preparation for the month of Ramadan. Last Sunday was another busy day with so much going on at IFN. On one hand, there was the First Annual Ramadan Conference going on in the Men's Mussala for adults, while on the other hand, we had our Ramadan Readiness Workshop in the Banquet Hall for IFNSS students as well as youth and ladies from the community. This was arranged by the WAC in collaboration with Sunday School and HSYC. Our students had a wonderful time attending this conference and learned ways on how to make the most of the blessed month of Ramadan. Our presenter, Ustadha Tayyaba is a renowned muslim author and presenter. Along with her many great tips, she also shared and demonstrated some yummy and nutritious recipes with students such as how to make a date and banana shake and students even got to taste it in mini sample cups. I have included some of the slides for your reference below in case anyone is curious about the recipes.

2023 IFNSS Annual Surah Memorization Competition held on March 5th, 2023

Our 2023 Annual Surah Memorization Competition was held on Sunday, March 5th, 2023. We are so proud of the 65+ Sunday School students who participated ma sha Allah. See the results of the Surah Memorization Competition below. I want to emphasize that all those who participated are winners ma sha Allah for their efforts and participation. All participating students will receive their awards (certificates OR trophies) at the end of the school year graduation ceremony. We extend our special thanks to our judges: Br Abdul Farrukh, Sr Eman Enaya, Sr Zeinab Moustafa, Sr Ayesha Khaleel, Sr Ibtisam Alostath and Sr Afreen Sheikh who volunteered their time to listen to the surah recitations of all participants and encourage our students Alhumdulillah. May Allah SWT accept and reward all their efforts. Ameen
