Week 5 of Camp
We can't believe the last week of camp is here! Students have travelled the Kingdom this summer, and we are so glad that you chose to send them to the KESD Summer Camp. There is a lot to come this week from a bookfair, to field trips, a group of middle schoolers backpacking in the White Mountains, athletics bootcamp, and so much more!

Some highlights from week 4!
BOOK FAIR!
There will be a book fair in the Cafeteria Wednesday, August 2nd!
Students who participated in the Summer reading Challenge will receive a gift certificate for a free book from Green Mountain Books and a pizza from Lyndonville House of Pizza! Certificates can be used at the book fair or at Green Mountain Books before October 1st.
Monday - Thursday Afternoon Activities
All Rising 1st-4th Grade Students will take swim and tennis lessons at Powers Park twice a week, and have time for free swim. Please make sure your students pack swimsuits, towels and sunscreen on these days. Powers Park does not allow floaties or life jackets during swim lessons.
1st & 4th Grade will travel to Powers Park by bus, from 11:30-2:30 every Monday & Wednesday.
2nd & 3rd Grade will travel to Powers Park by bus, from 11:30-2:30 every Tuesday & Thursday.
1st-4th Grade students will be on campus all other afternoons, unless they are traveling to gymnastics with their class, or Bandstand Park. Your student's teacher will update you if such a trip is planned.
5th - 9th Grade Students will be grouped in their activities of choice on Monday-Thursday afternoons. You should have received an email stating your student's afternoon activities. If you are not sure what they are, please reach out to KESDsummercamp@kingdomeast.org
All students are on campus each morning, until 11:30am, unless your receive notice from your student's teacher otherwise. The schedules most Monday-Thursdays is:
8:00-8:30am: Students arrive at camp & breakfast
8:30 - 9:00am: Morning Meeting
9:00-11:00am: Hands-on academics, bookmobile, etc.
11:00-11:30am: Lunch
11:30-2:30pm: Afternoon Activities
2:30-3:00pm: Closing and dismissal
Fridays are 8:00am-3:00pm, students are off campus full days most Fridays for field trips (see the schedule below).

Bus Hubs
Bus Drivers Needed
Drop Off & Pick Up 8:00 - 8:30
Vehicle Traffic – 10 miles per hour.
Parent drop off times are 8:00am - 8:30am and pick up time is 3:00pm. The traffic pattern during those times is straight past the playground, around the end of school to the cafeteria door. The hours from 8:00am to 3:00pm the traffic pattern then turns left to park in visitor’s parking or outback.
Only School Busses will be allowed in front of the school to drop off and pick up the students.
Students may not be dropped off before 8:00am.
July Breakfast & Lunch Menu
Breakfast and Lunch will be served to all students, for free, each day at camp, as well as an afternoon snack! Menu's will be sent out soon. Students are welcome to bring their own meals from home as well. However, please note that camp is peanut and tree nut free. Students should not bring any food to camp that includes peanuts or tree nuts.

Here are a few reminders from our nurses:
- Be sure to pack or apply sunscreen & insect repellant
- Medications: All over-the-counter & prescription medications must be handed into the
Camp Nurse. No student will be allowed to have any medications on them, unless previously discussed with the camp nurse.
- If your child is sick please keep them home.
