👻 Don't Let Ghoulish Cyber Attacks Ruin Your Spooky Season (or any season!)
Cybersecurity is everyone's job, and the best defense we can provide is to educate our staff, students, and parents. During October, we will offer several opportunities to learn more about cybersecurity. Please consider participating in the options below. We will suspend simulated phishing tests for October to provide time for staff to participate. Additionally, you may substitute one of the staff activities for any training Knowbe4 may assign you. Just let us know, and we will waive the training. Please continue to report suspicious emails using the Phish Alert button. We hope you will participate and help us all by improving your knowledge and skills.
Learn about cybersecurity and get a chance to win a coffee or other beverage delivered to you by our TIS by participating in our scavenger hunt.
Take a walkthrough of the most important things you can do to secure your identity and information on Google. You can apply this to your private Google account as well.
Digital Citizenship Activities
Technology use begins with children during their formative years of education. Digital Citizenship guides us in engaging and participating in our online world. While October is also Digital Citizenship month, we know that Digital Citizenship works best when infused year-round. Ten years ago, Dig Cit Week was created as a launch pad to refresh students on how to participate safely and responsibly when using their devices. Are you looking for fun and interactive lessons to teach students about online safety, etiquette, and security? Our TIS has prepared a list of lesson plans, videos, and contests for students.
Check out SPASH's student newspaper, The Mirror. This month features poetry from SPASH students. You will be impressed!
