Special Graduation Issue

MVLA Community,

On behalf of the District and our Board of Trustees, I want to congratulate the Class of 2021 and all MVLA students for a job well done. The past 15 months have been unlike any other, navigating a pandemic and a new way of teaching and learning. I am proud of how our students, families, teachers, staff, and greater MVLA community worked to chart this journey together - with creativity and compassion, resilience and resourcefulness, perseverance and patience.

As writer Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail."

Congratulations to the Class of 2021! These seniors made it through a year-and-a-half of a pandemic, distance learning, and social distancing with resilience, compassion, creativity, ingenuity, and perseverance.
