Quarter 1, String Art

This art needed a lot more materials than I thought because the string you use, only comes in small packs and I ended up buying 15 packs of the string and nails.

I saw this picture on Pintrest, then I started looking up other cool string art pieces

My Artwork

  • I choose this project because I wanted to dress my little cousins room up. Her parents got divorced and now she has two rooms and a lot of my art is in her room at my grandmas house.

Quarter 2, Henna Tattooing

  • I choose to do henna tattooing because my best friend, Aliya always gets them and it just inspired me. I loved the way it looked and it made the skin look beautiful without permanently tattooing the skin.

Insperation

I was influenced by this picture. It made me think about summer and where I go to the beach, they do henna on the boardwalk.

Quarter 3, Documentary Video

  • I decided to do this video because I was doing it for a contest and I used my time to work for class and also for the contest.

Reflection!

  • A reflection on your growth as an artist this year.


  • This year in Art I have grown as an artist in many ways. I have realized that art is not just a painting or drawing, but it is whatever you want it to be. There are no rules in art which I really like because there is no right or wrong way.



  • Area of weakness.
  • My area of weakness this year in art has been handing in assignments. I did all of my artwork, but did not hand everything in as I should have.


  • “What have you learned about making Art?”

    • I have learned that making art is fun and can be whatever you want it to be. The way you like something, someone else might not like, but it is okay because all can create our own art.



  • “What have you learned about yourself through the projects you have created?”

    • I have learned to love a lot more about art than I even thought possible. I have found so many interesting ways to express yourself through art, not just typical painting or drawing because not everyone is good at that including myself.



  • Which project am I most proud of and why?

    • I am most proud of my Q3 project(documentary) because filmmaking and editing is something I really love to do, so it was the most fun thing to create and my favorite.

What Kind of Art do I want to make next?

I would like to continue to broaden my knowledge of all things art. I would like to find other cool, and different things to do.

What kind of art inspires me & why?

The art that inspires me the most are the kinds of art that people love. If someone loves what they are making then that rubs off on me and makes me wh=ant to try what they are making to see if I could love it too.
I personally find this photo very inspiring because you can tell the girl is enjoying herself even though her facial expressions don't say the same.
