"Brandie works so hard for this entire campus and creates a culture of fun for everyone!"
Aly Moosa was elected as the Texas DECA President on February 22, 2020 at the Texas State Career Development Conference (SCDC). Aly made history in GICSD and Colleyville Heritage High School as the first student to become elected as Texas DECA President.
Aly was one of 19 Texas DECA elite members running for a Texas DECA State Officer position at the SCDC. The election process was scored on the following components: officer exam, two interviews and popular vote from the voting delegates of each chapter. He also created a candidate campaign, participated in a meet and greet session and gave a riveting campaign speech without hesitation in front of thousands of DECA members filling the Fort Worth Convention Arena.
Aly’s identifying traits include: Empowering, Resilient and Innovative. Aly is the DECA Chapter President for Colleyville Heritage High School, and has been an active member of DECA since freshman year. Aly was a State qualifier in Marketing Communications Series freshman year and State Runner-Up sophomore year. Aly takes pride in inspiring discovery in everyone and is proud of his part in the chapter campaigns, community service, team building, and leadership programs. Aly possesses the ability to empower others to reach their goals and is grateful for the opportunity to use his 21st Century skills and collaborate with other DECA emerging leaders as the Texas DECA President.
Aly will serve his presidential term beginning now through April 2021 and be the voice for over 15,000 Texas DECA members. He will travel the globe with his officer team and attend various leadership summits and conferences, DECA competition and events.

Varsity Mens Soccer
Our panthers won both of their last 2 games: easier written than done on Tuesday with a close victory vs Birdville (2:1 - Aidan Schimmick x2) thanks to an outstanding performance from Muhib Methani that frustrated our opponents as he just wouldn't let them score.
Then came Friday and a dominating game vs Azle and another solid win 8:0 (Aidan Schimmick x3, Jonathan Tanaka x2, Chace Blanton, Nick Knudson, Bryan Hansen).
Keep it up boys !
Go Panthers!
Lady Panther Soccer
Last week the Lady Panthers had a very successful week.
Lady Panthers lost to Birdvile earlier in the season but on Tuesday they beat Birdville with a 5-4 PK win.
It was tied 0-0 after regulation. Great job by goalie Lizzie Flores and the rest of the defense (Julia Blackstone, Tate Tschirhart, Lauren Hurley, Giselle Garcia, Ashley York and Malenia Newsome) for keeping Birdville shutout.
During the PK shootout Ryleigh Adams, Tiernan Dunagan, Giselle Garcia, Karalie Morrsion and Tate Tschirhart all scored on their attempts.
Karalie Morrison was goalie during the PK shootout and saved two of Birdville's attempts.
On Friday it was a complete team effort with a 6-0 victory over Azle. 6 different players scored a goal. Ryleigh Adams, Avery Thompson, Karalie Morrison, Alex Whitcraft, Julia Blackstone and Tiernan Dunagan. Lizzie Flores was in goal for the shutout, but many players played a defense position to keep Azle from scoring.
Also on Friday, Karalie Morrison was voted the Star-Telegram soccer player of the week. Thank you for all your votes.
