Garden Committee News
The garden beds are empty and cleaned out for the winter. We have continued to work outside as long as the weather allows. We are trying to get everything ready for the frozen ground that is to come.
Our Cowles Girl Scouts club painted more of our outdoor furniture, and it looks amazing! A huge thank you to all of them!
We are excited to announce that our first outdoor instruments have arrived and will be installed in the spring once the ground thaws. We may be seeking help with this project once we know what we need. These instruments will go in the grass area near the Gaga ball pit. More to come in the spring. A huge shout out to CMPG for supporting this project!
We hope to purchase metal signs to distinguish the garden area outside the lower classroom windows. We find it hard with so many different levels and staff to keep the directions/rules consistent. If anyone has a connection to local businesses that make metal signs, please let the garden committee know. This is a project we would like to work on this winter when we can’t be outside.
If you want to do an activity while home during winter break, consider painting rocks for our outdoor rock garden by the front door. We have plenty of room to add more rocks.
Thank you to everyone for your continued work and support of our outdoor space.
