Words from our Principal
Bonita Vista Middle Families,
We survived our first week! Better than that, it was a success. Staff is working on getting to know our new students while relying on our returning students to be our leaders. The split lunches have been a huge success so far and students are adapting to their new routines.
Counselors are continuing to balance classes and meet contractual deadlines, so there will still be some student movement and class changes this week. I realize it is inconvenient and sometimes frustrating to have your student moved, but it is normal for this to happen during the first 2 weeks of school and required to meet the deadlines. Please reach out to the counselors if you have any concerns.
This year I would like to welcome Mr. Sias from Sweetwater High School, who is teaching art, and Ms. Canales, who transitioned from science to ASB. Ms. Leonhardt will be taking over our Restorative Practices program and Ms. Romano is returning to History classes as a long-term substitute for the moment. Also, we welcome Mr. Carpizo as our new head custodian from Rancho Del Rey. Our staff is ready to do their best for our students.
I am looking forward to a great year!
