Principal's Message
Good Afternoon E.O. Green Educating Partners,
At GREEN, the Red Ribbon Week activities will start today, Monday, October 24, and through October 28, 2022. Thank you to our fabulous counselors for preparing the great activities for our Hornets. Red Ribbon Week.pdf
Please continue conversing with your students about avoiding electronic smoking devices; many are flavored and unflavored tobacco products, making them difficult to detect.
We appreciate that you continue to talk about the dangers of large student gatherings and avoid gravitating to such groups. However, please encourage your student to report any knowledge regarding students talking or posting about possible altercations. Unfortunately, students involved in physical disputes are at risk of suspension, expulsion, and possibly being cited by the Oxnard Police Department, which is detrimental.
Overall, most of our students are always outstanding at following rules! We have fabulous students at E.O. Green who comes to school daily with a positive attitude, ready to learn and avoid conflict. They perform their best in the classroom and follow all school rules. Your students are doing such a fantastic job representing your family's expectations and values. Thank you, families, for reminding your students about your rules and expectations of them.
Green Families, the federal forms are due. Please complete the form and send it to school with your student today. Thank you!
Thank you, GREEN families, for participating in the workshop on Thursday, October 20, 2022 - at 5:30 pm; it was outstanding! The English and Spanish sessions were full-house. We appreciate your presence.
Attentively,
Irma Melgoza-Vasquez, Principal

Parent / Guardian Reminder: Maintaining Students Safe
Guide to Success
Health
Message From The Health Office:
The health office is a busy place. We have seen an increase in students coming to the health office that appear to be using the COVID protocols as a way to get out of class. Please talk with your student about not coming to the health office unless they are genuinely not feeling well. Also, COVID is still present and we are following the current Ventura County Public Health guidelines so please have a plan for who can pick up your student in case your student is sent home sick. Any COVID symptoms still require a negative COVID test result for the student to return to school. We want students in class as much as possible while looking out for your students' health and safety. Thank you for your help.
