- Wednesday, May 20th, between 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Thursday, May 21st, between 8:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Directions for curbside pick-up:
- Place your child(ren)'s name(s) on the dashboard of your vehicle.
- Enter the Cowles parking lot from 64th St. DO NOT come down College Ave, as we do not want to cause a traffic jam on 63rd St.
- Once in the Cowles car line, items will be handed to you by staff curbside. Do not park or get out of your vehicle.
Please return any school items Library books when you come. If you have a school computer, you may continue to use it through the end of the school year. If you have an 8th Grader who will be moving up to High School or a child not returning to Cowles next year, we will ask you to return school-issued computers by May 29th.
We look forward to "seeing" you this week!

Honoring Our 8th Graders
Dear 8th Grade Cowles Parents & Guardians,
One of the ways we will be our 8th Grader's time at Cowles is through a video that will be shared out with our community through the Cowles Crier and CMPG Facebook page. Mrs. Dare would like to use a picture of your child, their first name, and a brief sentence to tell others their favorite thing about Cowles. We could use your help to make this happen. Please send Mrs. Dare the following:
- A picture of your 8th Grader to use (or permission for Mrs. Dare to find one from school activities)
- The answer to the question: “What is your favorite thing about Cowles?”
- Please let us know if you have special requests regarding your child’s image or first name, and we will work together to honor your child
Thank you,
Mrs. Dare
Cowles Community Rock Garden
We are dedicating this garden to the joy and community that the late Deb Rock-Schroeder helped foster during her 8 years at Cowles.
How to grow our garden:
- Gather some rocks- there is a small supply of river rocks under the tree in the garden, if needed.
- Paint your rocks any way you would like: Cowles Spirit, in honor of Deb Rock-Schroeder, peace, encouragements, and more.
- Bring your rocks to our Cowles Community Rock Garden in front of the school under the tree.
- Snap picture of your contribution to the garden and send it to: savannah.calaway@dmschools.org
