Welcome to our new CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Mental Health Awareness Week
Students took part in a week long challenge "Challenge Tessa" in which Tessa visited as many schools as possible. Tessa also had to be stamped as part of the challenge.
Mental Health Awareness Week
Students released balloons along with other schools in Northamptonshire to help reduce the stigma of mental health and encourage young people to talk more openly.

Stars of the week
Students
- Miss Kidner would like to nominate Toby 7C, Harry 8S and Mason 8C for the help with the balloon release. She would also like to nominate Drew 7T and Gabby 7T for helping to decorate the Library this week.
- Mr Harley has nominated Indira 8C for her amazing work in Design and Technology. Indira produced an excellent brindle joint that most carpenters would be proud of. Well done Indira!
- Mr Cox and Miss Longhurst would like to say well done to their Year 11 for their dedication and hard work in Science and History ahead of the GCSE exams this summer.
- Mr Rogers would like to nominate Aidan 9T who was named Player of the Match in the first Year 9 football fixture of the year.
- Miss Fenner has nominated Ashley 7S, Shawn 10S and Jamie 10T for their fantastic efforts in English.
- Mr Rogers would like to nominate Declan 7S and Toby 7C for their game creation in the design module of Computing. Well done!
- Miss Bridges has nominated 7S for their marvellous contribution and their maturity during the RSCS lesson on Mental Health.
- Mr Strickland would like to nominate all Year 7-10 History students that he taught this week - you were simply brilliant!

- Lewis 11S has nominated Mr Crook for his additional support for Year 11 students in Design and Technology.
Celebration of Student Work
BWT Rugby Festival
Our Year 9 boys competed in the Brooke Weston Trust Rugby Festival which was held at Northampton Saints ground. The players performed very well and played competitive games against other schools within the Trust. Kyle, 9S was named Player of the Tournament.
Design Technology
Pictured is Indira with the bridle joint that she produced this week. Well done Indira on this amazing work.
Drama Performance
We are very excited about our forthcoming Drama performance. Our students have worked hard learning their lines, creating costumes and Mrs Wright has created amazing pieces for the set. We hope all our parents can come and support these talented students.
Reminders
- Tickets are available for the Drama performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream from school reception. These are priced at £2 for adults and £1.50 for students.
