Achieving the American dream is like playing a sport you don't play

When you try to do something you've never done it can be hard

But that's why you work as hard as workers on a hot day

A lot of people can achieve the American dream if they work to it

But of course, there's room for improvement

What causes women to have affairs? Is it the husband? The behavior in the marriage? In The Great Gatsby, the relationship between men and women is shown to be abusive and toxic. This shows that women’s role in society is less powerful than men. Women constantly get blinded in relationships. In The Great Gatsby, Tom was abusive. And he was also a cheater. the way a man treats them. A woman can get treated good in public, then behind closed doors she can get treated badly.

Tom will play around with daisys emotions and cheat on her. & Gatsby also walks into her life like its nothing. When gatsby walks back into daisys life. She falls right back into his arms. Now at this point daisy is stuck between tom and gatsby. A man can change the way a women views things if he can get into her head. The quote ‘He talked a lot about the past, and I gathered that he wanted to recover something, some idea of himself perhaps, that had gone into loving Daisy.” says Gatsby was expressing his feelings and this way if Daisy knows how Gatsby feels she may feel a way for him. Then when daisy fees a way for gatsby she gets stuck in the love triangle between gatsby and tom. This connects because a man can make a female feel a type of way by treating her a type of way.

Although women arent always at their highest. Men can be very manipulative. I think Gatsby was very manipulative on Daisy because he wanted money. I feel like Gatsby did like her but he also wanted money. When a woman is in love, she can do things that she wouldn't usually do because she wants to make the man happy. A woman will go all out for a man if she is in love just to get some care back. Even if it isnt real, if she feels some sort of love she will keep doing what she's doing. Now to conclude, This book was very interesting. Messy in my words. Tom and Daisy were the ones with money. Gatsby just wanted to get rich so he wanted to get with Daisy for her money. Tom ends up cheating with myrtle. Daisy cheats with Gatsby but Gatsby and Daisy had something before so that's different. But overall nobody is good in this book except for Nick id say but even then he isn't perfect. Everyone cheats and Tom is also abusive. That is very serious.
