TIGER WEEKLY
January 29, 2024
Welcome to Week 21!
THANK FOR PARTNERING WITH US IN YOUR CHILD'S EDUCATION!!
Greetings to each member of the A+ Family. We are excited for another great week of education. We are honored that you have chosen us to educate your scholar. Here are the updates for the week.
- Saturday School- We will be offering additional tutoring for all students grades 2-6 ONLY beginning this Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 9:00-12:00. Door will open at 8:45 a.m. (NOT BEFORE) and no students will be allowed to enter AFTER 9:15. All students must be picked up NO LATER than 12:15 p.m. ANY STUDENT WHO IS PICKED UP AFTER 12:15 will not be invited back. Please take advantage of this free opportunity. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
- Parent Teacher Conference- We will be hosting Parent Teacher Conference next Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and Wednesday February 7, 2024 from 11:00-2:00.
- No School- There will be no school next Wednesday February 7, 2024. School will resume on Thursday February 8, 2024 at 8:00 a.m.
- iSee Program- Our school will be participating in a program where students may receive a free eye exam as well as free eyeglasses. The program will take place here at the school on February 6, 2024. The forms can be found in the link below.
- 6th Grade Trip- We are getting close to the deadline for our final payment. Please be sure that you are current with payments.
- Dismissal time is 3:30 p.m. While we do offer a short grace period, we ask that you be respectful of our time and pick your child up on time. Picking your child up after 4:00 puts a major strain on our staff and prevents us from picking up our own children. Thank you for your consideration.
- Attendance- Student attendance is one of the strongest indicators of student success. The state of Ohio counts HOURS and NOT DAYS toward truancy. The time your child arrives and leaves school counts toward truancy. Anything above 7 hours per month that a child is absent is considered Chronic Absenteeism. It is extremely important that your child is here for the entire school day. Students are considered TARDY after 8:30.
- We are a uniform school. There will be NO "Dress Down Friday's" this year. Please make sure your child is in khaki bottoms (no Jeans, jogger, leggings, sweatpants). Any solid color polo shirt, tennis shoes, boots or dress shoes (no crocks, sandals or flip flops). Students who come to school and are not in uniform are subject to In School Suspension.
